The gates to Heaven have opened and open arms have welcomed Allen Edward Moore. It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family announces the passing of Allen on Thursday July 23rd, 2009. Loving and devoted husband and best friend to Dianne Moore (nee Wilson) for over 39 years. Beloved father of Darlene of Ottawa and Robert. Son of the late Erman and Jessie Moore and brother of the late John E. Moore. Brother-in-law to Chuck and Shirley Wilson of Indiana. Greatly loved Uncle to many nieces and nephews . Allen was a member of Local 786 Ironworkers Union for over 45 years. Allen spent many years at his cottage at Lonely Lake and will be missed by all his friends there. Allen leaves behind his four legged friend Fido, the best dog gone friend he ever had. Friends and family may call at the Northwood Funeral Home and Cremation Services (942 Great Northern Road 705 945-7758) on Sunday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Monday July 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Mrs. Frances Glover officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Drs. in London, Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie for all the care they have given Allen during his long and struggling journey. In lieu of flowers donations made to The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Algoma Residential Hospice (A.R.C.H.) would be appreciated by the family. Thanks go to all the caregivers that have helped Allen through this journey in his life. We could not have made it without all your help and support. There are not enough THANKS for all of you.
