It is with great sadness and heavy hearts to announce that Theresia Modritsch, our angel here on earth has moved on to her next journey of everlasting life with her Lord and Saviour and to join those gone before her at the age of 94.

After many years of dwindling health, she peacefully passed away at home in her sleep on the morning of December 29, 2021.  She was surrounded by the love of family.

Predeceased by Henry Modritsch, son Gery Modritsch and daughter Ingrid Anderson as well as her great grandson Ben whom I know will now be in her arms.  Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses in Austria.

Will be dearly missed by her daughter Trudy Taylor (Tim), son Robert (Deborah Ann) and daughter-in-law Dorothy Modritsch.  Cherished grandmother of Alicia, Jen (Mario), Deidre Harrington (Chris), James and Ashley Alexandria.  She deeply loved her great grandchildren Paige, Adrianna, Arrianna, Faith Kayley, Hazel and Sahara Ann.  Blessed with the love of her great great grandchild Evie.  Survived by many relatives in Austria.

Thank you to the friends from the former Pim Street Community Church of the Nazarene who have kept her in their thoughts and prayers throughout the years and special thanks to Pastor Elizabeth Brechin.

Special thanks to Dr. Victoria Coccimiglio and her nurse Riley for your kind and gentle care of our mother throughout the years and during Covid as well as Terry at the Chiropody Department, the schedule ladies and the Group Health Centre Pharmacy with special thanks to Glenn.  You made Covid times so much easier for us.

To the PSWs, private care girls and nurses that came into our home and gave your special love and care to my mother, words are not enough.  You know who you are.

As per mother's wishes, cremation will take place.  A memorial service, celebration of life, or online service may be announced at a later date.  Donations by cheque or online to any of the following charities, the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen Community Centre, the Ophir Volunteer Fire Department, or the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Centre would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522).  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Modritsch family.
