MISTAL, PAUL GORDON

It is with unspeakable sadness that we announce Paul’s death on July 30_^th, 2012 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, B.C., at the age of 57 after a valiant struggle with cancer.    He was the loving son of the late Joseph and Norah Mistal (Whittingham) of Burnaby, B.C.  He will be forever missed by his twin brother, Patrick (Lori Russon) of Echo Bay, ON, his sister Donna Mistal-Houle (Andre) of Chilliwack, B.C., his only nephew Erik Mistal of Toronto, ON and his numerous friends.  Paul was fortunate to have an incredible network of friends who travelled this journey with him and we are so thankful that they were there for Paul when we could not be.  We will be forever grateful to his dear friend Joe Roche who loved and supported him through every step of this past year.  A special thank you to Vivienne Scott and the staff at the MNR, Forestry division for their support of Patrick during the past several months while Patrick struggled to cope with the illness and eventual loss of his brother.  Paul was a kind, thoughtful man who has left this world a better place because he was here.  We will love him and miss him forever, but we will honor him by living our lives the way that Paul lived his.  Messages of condolence can be offered at [email protected]
