MISLAN, John

It is with deep regret and sorrow that we announce the death of John Mislan, on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 86. Beloved husband and very best friend of 61 years of Frances (Krivan) and loving father of David (Molly), Robert (Patricia) and Paul (Nicole). Son of the late Andrew and Anna Mislan and son-in-law of the late Karol and Mary Krivan.  Brother of Anna Zaverucha of Englehart, Ont. (late John) and Elizabeth Schryer (Isabel) (late Jim). Brother-in-law of Anne and Eugene (Sparky) Scarfone, Mary and Richard Valenti and Carl and Mary Krivan.  Grandfather of Sarah, Graeme, Patrick, Anthea, Hannah, Victoria and Grace. Step-grandfather of Shannon Proudfoot (Geoff Treen) and Lindsay Proudfoot. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 6 - 9 pm and Friday, August 3, 2012 from 10:30 – 11:30 am with funeral mass to be celebrated from St. Jerome Catholic Church at 12 noon. Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Donations to St. Jerome Church Memorial Wall, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family is grateful to his health providers, Drs. Catania, Bignell and Walde.
