Passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the F.J. Davey Home at the age of 87. Devoted wife of the late Claude Mills (1996) and precious mother of Claudia Devoe (Gordon), Glenys Hoad-Reddick (Terence) and Steve (Joan). Special mother-in-law of the late Alvin Hicks and Arnold (Chub) Devoe. Dearest grandmother of Pam Baxter, Eric Hicks (Lorena), Téri Esson (Robert) and Bryce Hicks. Great grandmother of Michelle and Danial Baxter, Todd, Tom and Joshua Hicks and Victoria, Elisabeth and Mackenzie Esson. Great great great grandmother of Seth and Owen Baxter. Loving sister of the late Mildred “Millie” Martin (Jack) and sister-in-law to Katherine Mills (late Clifford) and Eileen Rose (late Arthur). Predeceased by her In-laws Marion McDonald (Archie), George Mills (late Evelyn), Herb (late Naola), Stan (late Dolly), Jessie and Mert. A private memorial service was held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 1 pm. Rev. Bruce McLeish officiated. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to our truly special Davey friends Ann McMenemy, that provided eats and Catherine Jobst who helped us through the final hours. Also the great Davey staff for being so helpful the last six years.
