Surrounded by family, Glenn Mills passed peacefully at the Algoma Residential  Community Hospice on Sunday, November 22nd at the age of 93.

He will finally be reunited with the love of his life, wife Mary and his beloved son Randy.  Heaven will have a line of his family to greet him - his Mother Olive and Father Clifford as well as his many brothers and sisters. Left behind to treasure his memory are his daughter Kerren (late Bob – who will be greeting him as well), his daughter-in-law Lois and his brother Gerry (Geraldine)  who is now the lone surviving sibling of the very large Mills clan – he surely has the best memories to share! There are also many nieces and nephews.

The many travels and stories will be remembered by his grandchildren Marny, Kerry (Greg), Brad (Carrie), Ken (Becca) and Jana.  His great-grandchildren Tyler, Nicholas, Ryan and Jackson are so lucky to have had so many years with him.

Glenn was someone special.  If you met him you saw the spark in his eye. He was lucky to retire from Algoma Steel and form a coffee group of retirees that met weekly. Willowgrove United Church provided him with lifelong friends that he dragged someone from there each week to a supper somewhere in Algoma.

Glenn and Mary loved to travel and be active in their younger years. They owned a camp in Haviland for a few years, went faithfully to Florida in the winters and took so many mini vacations that the families memories of them all run together. He built beautiful doll houses and was meticulous about his yard.

He was a joke teller with an eye for the ladies and he made the most of the end of his life. He flirted with the ladies of the Great Northern Retirement Home until he was taken to ARCH in July of this year.  The family would like to thank the staff of ARCH for the outstanding care Glenn received. He was so happy being there that he stuck around for months to spend some extra time with you all. Glenn was thankful and loved every visit after being restricted by Covid for so long.
