Sandra Elaine Miller of Penticton, B.C., passed away peacefully at age 70, with her son by her side, on Saturday, July 9, 2011. Beloved mother of Samuel J. Miller, Belinda (Robert) Bordin and Lisa Wilson. Grandmother of Sidney (Brandi) Wilson, Timothy Wilson, Bernie (Eva) Lance and Tricia Lance. Great-grandmother of Sidney Jr., Lillian and Jack Wilson and Mia Lance. Sandra will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters: Lois (late Bill) McKay, Shirley (Don) Sharpe, Audrey (Bill) Blaney, Arlene (Danny) Di Pietro and many nieces, nephews and other family members. Sadly, Sandra was predeceased by her husband Paul and parents Boyde and Elsie Mc Burnie (nee Rous). Before settling in Penticton, Sandra lived in Toronto, Sault Ste. Marie and Vancouver. Sandra was known for being a compassionate and tireless advocate for the disabled. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 7 to 9 P.M. at Grace and Truth Church located at 475 Wilson Street. Memorial donations to the Gideons would be appreciated.
