At the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, March 28, 2011 at the age of 78 years. Don’s wide circle of friends is his own tribute to the great man we were all blessed to know. The only thing bigger than his laugh was his heart. Don leaves behind his constant companion and partner Rose Hall, very proud children Kathy of Sooke, B.C., Sandra of Salmon Arm, B.C. and Brian (Sherry) of Bakersfield, CA and his first wife Barbara. Grandfather of Jeremy, Jonathan, Dariane, Riad, Lincoln, and his newest Braydon. Rose’s children John, Michael and Linda and her grandchildren Nikki, Victor, Devon, Darci and Khira. Also his coffee buddies who he faithfully enjoyed time with and who enriched his days. Bowling was his lifelong passion and each thunder boom we hear from now on will surely be his hello to all that enjoyed his competitive spirit on the lanes. His many years in the community found him wearing many hats and his enthusiasm was boundless in each and every venture he undertook. As anyone that knew Don would know, he did not wish for a fuss, but the family would like to honour his memory with an informal celebration of life.
