It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Susan on Sunday January 7, 2024, at the young age of 70.

Left behind to grieve is her cherished husband of 50 years, Steven. Devoted mother of Christopher (Siobhàn) and Colleen Mayer (Josh), who will forever feel her absence and who are left with holes in their hearts. Susan's grandchildren were her heart and soul: Justin Rogers (Phaedra), Colin Michaud, Cambrie and Eislea Mayer.

Daughter of Phyllis and the late Francis Bourdages. Adored sister of Richard Bourdages (Joan), Linda Evans, late John Bourdages, Sandra Calic (Mike), late Vicky Wilding (Danni), and Glenn Bourdages (Alba). Dear sister-in-law of the late Christine Luhtanen, late William Michaud, Margaret Strom (Eric), and Jim Michaud (Patricia).  Countless nieces and nephews will feel "Auntie Suzie's" loss immensely. Lifelong friends will look back on memories with fondness.

Susan will be remembered for her service above self, her generosity, and her beautiful laughter.  She was a pillar of strength for her entire family and a woman of unwavering faith. She enjoyed spending time cooking and baking for those she loved and her genettis were second to none.  She loved watching the Havilland Bay sunsets with her family in her gazebo at camp.  Caring for others was Susan's main priority in life.  We ask that you honour her memory through random acts of kindness.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff at SAH, 3C, for their compassion and care.

How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her, may she rest in peace. Until we meet again.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10 am to 12:30 pm. A funeral mass to follow at St Gregory's Parish (71 Estelle St) at 1 pm, officiated by Fr. Trevor Scarfone and can be viewed anytime up to 90 days.  Go to www.funeraweb.tv and select Susan's name to view the service. She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are payable online or by cheque in Susan's honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Gregory's Parish. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Michaud family.
