MENDICINO, Ralph Victor

It is with great sadness that the family of Ralph Mendicino announces his passing on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Sault Area Hospital with his family close by his side.  Ralph is the beloved son of the late Albert and Lena, cherished brother of Gayle Mendicino and Roberta Theisen (Michael), incredible uncle of Larissa McCorkell (Sean), Lauren Burch and Nicholas Theisen, and Great Uncle of Ava Ridley-Theisen.  Born August 16, 1954, Ralph was the middle child.  He was a member of the Sir James Dunn City Championship Football Team ‘70/71, a practical joker, a “dog whisperer”, a long time employee (retired) of ESSAR (Algoma) Steel – Utilities Department, an avid lover of the outdoors, especially the north shores of Lake Superior and everyone’s best friend.  Ralph left a lasting impact on everyone that met him.  He will be remembered for his good nature, work ethic, sense of humour, helping hands, and big heart.  Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 pm.  Sister Pat Carter, c.s.j. officiating.
