MÉNARD, Cécile

Our family wishes to note the passing of a fine and beautiful woman who, as a mother and educator, touched so many lives. She chose to pass on the day the sun turned somber for us all. How fitting. Ménard, Cécile Ida (née Leclair) passed away peacefully on August 21st, 2017 at the Golden Birches Terrace in Blind River at the age of 90.  Pre-deceased by her husbands Gérald Ménard in 1974 and Richard Huleatt in 2008. Mme Ménard is survived by her children Barthélémy “Bart” Ménard of Sharbot Lake, Marie Louise Kelday (David Kelday) of Dundas, Jacques Ménard (Lucinda Walls) of Kingston, Dona Ménard-Calder (late Ian Calder) of Blind River, Marie-Géralde Patey of Kingston and grandchildren Méghan-Anne Kelday, Stéphanie Kelday, Ariane Ménard, Julien Ménard, David Calder and Allison Calder.  Pre-deceased by her parents Elzéar “Henry” and Emma (née Dery) Leclair. She is the dear sister of the late Henri Leclair (late Margaret), late Irene Pernokis (late Tom), Marguerite Gauvreau (late Alphonse), Joseph Leclair (Joan), late Jeannette Melzer (late Don), late Wilfrid Leclair (Pat), Paul Leclair (Shirley) and the late Jacques “Jim” Leclair (late Dorothy).  Also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.  The family will receive friends at Paroisse Ste. Famille in Blind River on August 25th, 2017 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am on August 25th, 2017. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery, Blind River.
