After a long battle with cancer, with his wife by his side, Angus passed peacefully at home on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the age of 63. Beloved husband and best friend of Cheryl (nee Taylor) for 41 years. Much loved and respected father of Lorri-Ann Melcher (Kevin) and William (Ingrid). Cherished grandpa of Kate and Mitchell McPhee. Son of the late Neil and Gwen McPhee. Son-in-law of the late William and Eilleen Taylor. Angus will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters: Robert (Rikki), Harvey (Marion), Phylis Howes (Fred), Arnold (Marion), Donelda Patterson (Wayne), Kimberly (Janet) and Karla Wochenmarkt (David) all of southern Ontario and by his sister-in-law Donna Kohut (David) of Kincardine. Angus leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss his presence in their lives. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 6 – 9 pm and on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 12 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the Algoma Lung Association, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
