Peacefully went to be with her Lord, with her family at her side at the Sault Area Hospital General Site on Monday, April 12, 2010 at the age of 87. Devoted wife of Gordon “Ted” of 61 years. Loving mother of Gary (Mary) of Sault Ste. Marie, Judy of Echo Bay and David (Iris) of Heyden. Special mother of Linda Rickard. Proud nana of Tom (Anna), Kimberly (Steve), Shon, Robert (Linda), Christen (Anthony), David “Trey” (Shirley), Trevor and great grandmother of Tyler & Tyson, Jordan, Justin & Brianne, Skyler, Abbie & Elliotte, Ashlay, Rune & Airrein, Samantha & Bryce. Nana will be deeply missed by all. Predeceased by her brothers Murray and Douglas Matheson and sister Marje Desautel (late Ernie). Sister-in-law of Madge Matheson and Clair McMinn (Clareanne) and the late Maurice McMinn. Barbara will be remembered by her nieces and nephews.
