With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Joshua. On February 1st, 2024, the news of his departure left an indescribable void in all of our hearts.

Born on July 30th, 1986, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Joshua spent his life traversing between Edmonton, Alberta, and Ontario, bridging connections with both sides of his family.

Joshua will always be remembered as a father, residing in the spiritual realm for his cherished and beautiful daughters, Taniisha Tammy Lynn Waboose-McMillan (Renee) and Austyn Cheryl Dawn McMillan-Parlee (Brandy).

He is the firstborn and best friend to Lee-Ann Dawn Hayward, never leaving each other's side. Joshua is also an older brother to Alex Junior Hayward and Cheyenne Theressa Marie Hayward and was always there for his younger siblings. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family all over Canada.

Predeceased by his beloved father, Shaun Daniel O'Neill, Grandma Arlie Theresa McMillan, and Papa James McMillan, who all loved Joshua beyond measure. We know that Joshua is at peace with them now.

Joshua was a brilliant man, which came to him naturally. He found joy in expressing himself through drawing and writing poems. A resilient fighter, Joshua had a strong body and mind, dedicated to being a loyal safeguard and protector to those closest to him.

He will live on each day through his two girls, Taniisha and Austyn. Joshua’s girls and mother, Lee-Ann, will miss him the most.

Cremation has taken place, and Joshua will be laid to rest in the loving arms of his grandma Arlie at Garden River First Nation Anglican Cemetery.
