Peacefully at McFarland Nursing Home, Picton on Saturday, March 4, 2006, Helen Jean McLennan passed away in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Allister Duncan McLennan (1982). Wonderful mother to Doug McLennan and his wife Elizabeth of Picton, David McLennan and his partner Joyce Dale of Maynooth, Ontario and Joan Smith of Calgary. Beloved grandmother to 7 grandchildren and was great grandmother to 3 great grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her siblings Greta Eckmier, Doreen Smale, Velma Gemmel, Florence Field and Glenn Eckmier. The family will receive friends at Ostrander's Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday, March 10, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service for Helen will be held in Ostrander's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Biff Jarvis of Tillsonburg officiating. Cremation to follow. Inurnment Tillsonburg Cemetery at a later date. At the families request memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
