Peacefully at North Bay General Hospital, Monday, January 17, 2005 with his loving family at his side. Ellis was born in Chatham, New Brunswick. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Gwen (nee Davis) and cherished father of Susan (Pierre) of North Bay, Peggy (George) of Sault Ste. Marie, Nancy (Bill) of Greenbank and Brent (Lisa) of Barrie. Adored grandfather of Danielle, Dominique, Jory, Amy, Connor, Keith, Hunter and Hudson. Also survived by two sisters, Edith, Chatham, New Brunswick, Gertrude (John), Nelson, B.C. and sister-in-law Muriel McLaughlin, Vancouver, B.C. Ellis was a graduate of Mount Allison University and retired long time employee of the City of Sault Ste. Marie. His greatest passions in life were the love from his family watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays. Your work on earth is done Big E. *Rest in peace honey. We will all miss you so very much.* As per Ellis's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation at Forest Lawn Crematorium, Tower Drive.
