Seija McKennitt died peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday January 15, 2012 at Sault Area Hospital. Sadly missed by life long companion Gary Kelly, Children, Liisa, Cameron and Michael, stepchildren Tina, Heather, Natalie and Patrick, grandchildren Ryan, James, Billy, Malcolm, and Nevaeh, siblings Paul (Taru), Leena (Darren),Tom and Reijo (Miriam). The family is extremely grateful to all the close friends who showed their support throughout her illness. We will all miss her kind and caring spirit. She had the heart of an artist and found beauty in everything around her. She was one of a kind. At her request, a private family service will be held.
