Passed away on Sunday January 29, 2023 at Sault Area Hospital at the age of 89, with his wife Dorothy McKay (nee Brooks) by his side. Husband of the late Angela McCaig.
Loving father of the James, John, Alex and Step-Father to Joyce Swanson, Joan Tregonning and Steven Tregonning. Donald had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who loved him all so much.
He is the son of the late Ernest and Marjorie (nee Shuttleworth) McKay. Brother of late Eleanor and the late Bruce; brother-in-law to late Jim Brooks, late Robert Brooks, late Tom Brooks, late Ted Brooks, late Henry McCaig and late Alfred McCaig . Donald is survived by brother-in-law Terry Brooks, Richard Brooks, Bill Brooks, Jack McCaig, Cleave McCaig and Raymond McCaig.
Donald was loved and cherished by many nieces and nephews.
As per Donald's wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to a United Church or to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
