Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday January 13th, 2020 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Ila. Beloved father of Heather Nelli (Gerry) & Heidi Caruso (Rick). Cherished grandfather of Jordan and Chelsea Nelli (Drew) and Nicholas and Madison Caruso. Son of the late Clifford & late Pearl McCrea. Dear brother of the late Jim Burne (Patsy), Gary (late Judy) and Ronnie (Lyla). Son-in-law of the late Annie and Frank Murray. Brother-in-law of the late Gerry Murray (Bessie) and the late Innis Murray. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Details for a Celebration of Life for Merl will be announced at a later date. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of 3B for their care and compassion.
