With great sadness, the family of Noranne announce her passing on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
Daughter of the late Roy and Jane Hicks, Noranne was the namesake of her Aunts Nora and Anne. Beloved wife and travel partner of Donald. Mother of James (Jean), Anne (Charlie McKay), Susan (Michael Towell) and Larry (Sherry Ilersich). Grandmother of Jeannine (Nate), late Michael (Maureen), Lauren (Eugene), Donald, Jackson, Ian, Jillian and Sydney. Great Grandmother of Jade. Sister and Aunt to many family members in Southern Ontario.
Don and Noranne celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. They enjoyed many years of travel in their boat the “Normac", driving across country in the "Bus" and winter vacations in Cuba. Summers and Winter weekends were spent enjoying the family camp at Garden Lake.
Noranne loved her many “furry kids” over the years and feeding the squirrels at Garden Lake.
