The family regrets to announce the passing of Harry R. McCarty on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at the F.J. Davey Home at the age of 78. Beloved husband and best friend for 53 years of Doreen (Diboll). Loving father of three sons - Lynn Scott (Julie), Kevin Bruce (Susie) and John Franklin (Kathy). Loving grandfather and "Farmer Jones" of Shannon, Sarah, Katie, Robbie, Adrienne, Steven, Ian and Amy. Dearest twin brother of Helen Hamilton (late John), Stella MacFaul (late Roland), Gladys MacDougall (late Milton), James (late Doris), late Lorne (Ona) and the late John (killed in action WW II.) At Harry's request there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at the Barton & Kiteley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. Mr. Jim Moffat officiating. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery, Jocelyn, St. Joseph Island at a later date. A "Come and Go Reception" will be held for family and friends at East Korah/Maxwell United Church (corner of Peoples Road and Fourth Line) on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 from 12 noon to 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the S.A.H. Cancer Clinic or the St. Joseph Island Museum would be gratefully accepted.
