The family announces with great sorrow the unexpected passing of Allan David Maxwell McCarthy on the 12th of June 2021 at the age of 66.
Allan was a loving father of two sons Adam and Duncan McCarthy. He is survived by his Brother Kevin McCarthy, and his 3 sisters Mary Ann McCarthy, Judi Zolondek, and Sandie McCarthy-Roberts. He is also survived by his ex-wife Glenda McCarthy, mother of his children, 2nd ex-wife Sandra Matthews, and his current girlfriend Colleen Felts. He was also loved and survived by nephews and nieces, and many long-time friends.
Allan was born in Wawa (St. James,) Ontario, spent the greater portion of his life in Sault Ste Marie and the latter part of his life in London Ontario. He went to school at Korah Collegiate and Graduated with a degree in Computer Science with honors from Algoma University. He was a very intelligent and deep thinking man. Family and friends will fondly remember him for his love of baking, his love for the gym and running, his commitment to helping others, his commitment to god, and church, his love for a cup of coffee with friends, and his love for people in general. He was a kind and gentle man who was quiet and private but would also give you the shirt off his back if you were in need.
A memorial service will be held at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 1pm. Rev. Trevor Scarfone officiating.
