Doug passed away suddenly one day before heart surgery in Toronto on September 13, 2022.
He was best friend, soul mate and loving husband of 59 years to Linda, together in a life journey beginning in high school in small town Kirkland Lake. Profoundly grateful for him are daughter Cathie and Michael Ratz, son Michael and Michelle McCabe. Pops and Grumpa of Katie Ratz, Meagan Daniell (Ben), Allison Ratz and Mya McCabe who adored him and will be comforted by memories of his antics and unwavering love. Great Grandfather of Beau Douglas Daniell. Constant companion of his retirement dog Myka. Reunited with his golf buddies Branko, Rolly, Ray and Larry. Missed by his hockey, golf, travel and school buddies, extended family, and friends.
