MAURO, Vince

Born on June 29, 1937 in Paterno Calabro, Italy.  Passed peacefully on July 18, 2019 at home in his 82nd year.  Beloved and caring husband of Elda of 53 years.  Loving and devoted father of Tom (Rachel) and the late Dave Mauro.  Proud papa of Justin and Devin Mauro.  Son of the late Luigi and Serafina Mauro.  Dear brother of Tony (late Giuseppina), late Michele (Franca), late Frank (Giovanna) and Luigi (Mirella) Mauro.  Son-in-law of the late Francesco and the late Rosa Mancuso.  Brother-in-law of the late Marisa Coccimiglio (late Rudy), Gino Mancuso (Shirley), Aldo Mancuso (Denise), Linda Mancuso Look (Allan), Emily Mancuso Pemberton (Ed), Silvana Colizza (Joey) and Elio Mancuso (Kathy).  Step brother-in-law of Joe Mancuso and the late Franca Dorante (late Benito).  He was also loved and adored by many nieces and nephews.  Vince will be remembered as a hard working, kind and gentle man.  He worked as a baker for more than 30 years providing for his family.  He enjoyed spending time gardening, watching the Detroit Red Wings, camping, travelling, and working out at GoodLife Fitness where he made many friends.  His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren.  Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 10 am to 1 pm.  Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 1:30 pm.  Memorial contributions to A.R.C.H. or the Heart & Stroke Society would be greatly appreciated.  Special thank you to our family and friends for all the love and support.
