Jean-Guy Maurice passed away peacefully at NSHN Blind River with all his family by his side.
Truly a family man, always there for his wife, children and grandchildren. He was patient and humble. He liked to chat with everyone and was genuinely interested in their lives and always saw the best. He loved all sports, especially playing golf and cards with family. Jean-Guy had an incredible work ethic and worked until he was nearly 90 years old. He was meticulous, full of wisdom and a man of excellence who took pride in all his endeavours. His willingness to try anything as long as it was with family gave him the most enjoyment. This husband, father, pepere and friend will never be forgotten. Beloved husband and soulmate of Aline (nee Nadon) for 67 years. Devoted father and friend to Roger (late Deborah), Claudette Witkowski (Veta), Andre (Janice) and Sue Mercer (Woody). Grandfather and friend to Lisa Beaulieu, Christopher, Matthew (Melanie), Amy Cook (Jeff), Stephanie Fluke (Ryan), Andrea (Andrew), Steven Fluke (Casey) and Zachary Mercer. Great grandfather to Kierra-Lee, Noah, Hannah, Cole, Jackson and Emmett. He will be missed by his good friends Rick Dunbar and Al Tousignant. Brother to Paul, Juliette and Leo.
