Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Mapleview on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the age of 84.
Beloved wife of the late Wayne Mathieu. Loving mother of the late Douglas Mathieu, Brenda St. Louis (Todd), Terri Hall (Gordie), and Vicki Gilmar (Lyle). Proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 26. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and friendly visitor Janice Pielow. Special thank you to the Mapleview Ranger Lake staff for their wonderful care of our mother.
A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Friends are invited to view the service online, go to www.funeraweb.tv and select Shirley's name.
Memorial donations (payable by cheque) to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. At present time, as directed by the Province, the number of attendees will be limited to 50 people or less. This could result in possible wait times to enter the building. It is recommended that when you pay your respects, please practice social distancing, and allow others to also pay theirs. Following the guidelines, the funeral home will no longer accept any food deliveries.
