MARTIN, Mildred Myra “Millie”

(November 29, 1919 – January 24, 2012) - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our mother, best friend and confidant. Millie went home to her Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2012.  She was predeceased by her husband Al in 1988.  Dear mother of Betty Hobbs (Tsawwassen, BC), the late Laurraine Boivin, Brenda Barbeau and Charlie Martin (Cathy). Special grandmother to Russ Hobbs (Gwen), Ken Hobbs and Nancy Paquette (Tony) all of Tsawwassen, BC, Danielle Punch (Kevin), Nicole Boivin (Gary), Matt Barbeau of Barrie ON, Karen Barbeau (Doug) and Conni Sugden (Michael) of Austin, TX. Millie was also a Great Grandma and a Great Great Grandma.  Predeceased by six brothers and sisters from Wakefield, Mass, and St. John’s, Newfoundland.  Millie was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary for over 40 years and enjoyed her years in the Women’s Bowling and Golfing Leagues.  We will all miss you Mom.  A private family funeral was held at the request of Millie.  If desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.  Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 705-759-2522.
