MARTELLA, Domenico “Domenic” - Peacefully passed away at the FJ Davey Home, surrounded by his three children, on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the age of 80. Loving husband of Maria for 56 years.  Dear father of Cora Severini (Joe), Cosimo Martella (Marisa) and John Martella (Michelle). Cherished Nonno of Dante Severini, Daniel, Michaela and Sophia Martella. Son of the late Cosimo and the late Maria Martella. Brother of the late Gennaro (Martha), Giovanna DeCesare (Late Angelo), late Christina Carlascio (late Felice), late Giuseppe Martella (Angela), late Pasquale (Rose) of Australia and Nicola Martella (Nicolina) of Cleveland. Dad was a hard worker who valued above all his family and his faith.  He loved his garden and found comfort, peace and happiness there. He cherished teaching his grandchildren Italian card games, beating them in Bocce and inventing many other games. Everyone will always remember our dad and his favourite line “how are you tomorrow?”. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Due to the current pandemic there is a maximum attendance restriction of 40 attendees in the Funeral Home at one time. Mandatory for everyone is the use of hand sanitizer, masks or face coverings and physical distancing of 2 meters unless members of the same household. A private family service will be held with Father Paul Conway officiating. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation, Alzheimer Society or ARCH will be greatly appreciated.  Our family extends our heartfelt thanks to the Davey Home, especially the third floor Cedarwood staff for taking care of our father with compassion and dignity. We will be forever grateful.

We know you are no longer suffering and are at peace Dad.  Start planting that garden in heaven and playing cards with your brothers and sister. We know you will always watch over us. We love you Pa.
