It is with great sadness that we mark the unexpected but peaceful death of Joan Marshall at Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
Beloved wife and friend of late Fred for over 65 years. Loving mother of Cleve, Ellwood (Louise), Kim (late Anne), Darryl (Pam) and Emmalee (Jim Allen). Proud grandmother of 7, great grandmother of 12 and great great grandmother of 1. Daughter of the late Wally and Emma Wood. Sister of late Donna Tucker (late Rudy), Elaine Britton (late Ralph) and Ted (Theresa). Daughter-in-law of late Gordon and late Violet. Sister-in-law of Lil Marshall (late Lloyd) and predeceased by Rita Lemcke (late Lloyd), Elva Avery (late Howard), Calvin Marshall (late Alice), Bob Marshall (late Mavis), Luella McCargar.
Joan was a longtime employee of Sears. She volunteered extensively throughout her life at the R.M Moore Public School, ARCH Hospice and Sault Area Hospital among others. She had a strong faith and served in many different roles at Victoria Presbyterian Church.
Family and friends are invited to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East; 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Memorial service to follow on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 10 am. Rev. John Wilson officiating. Spring interment at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation (payable by cheque or online) to ARCH, Sault Area Hospital Foundation or to the Victoria Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
