Suddenly at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the age of 64. Beloved wife of Don McConnell. World's best mom to Laura McConnell (Bryan Blanchette) and Justin McConnell (Shaylin Moore). Dear daughter of Andy and Irene Mantha. Loving sister to Mark Mantha (Kathie) and John Mantha (Leanne), sister-in-law to Wendy McConnell. Loving aunt to Claire and Bradley Mantha and Lauren Galeana. Fondly remembered by her aunts Irene Kozlo and Sally Boudreau and many cousins. Best friend to so many. Following her love of education, Joanne was a teacher, department head and curriculum coordinator with the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board for 35 years. She inspired countless students to reach for the stars. Joanne was active with her church and a volunteer at ARCH. She was very creative in music and art, and enjoyed making her own jewelry. Joanne will be a very bright angel in heaven. She will be missed by many.
