 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”  2 Timothy 4:7.  Passed peacefully into the Presence of His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at Sault Area Hospital on Good Friday, April 6, 2012 at the age of 75.  Loving husband and covenant partner of Charlotte for 52 years.  Much loved father of James, Jody and Loriann Soares (Nelson).  Devoted loving papa of Dylan, Shea, Maggie, Brianna, Dina and Nicholas Mandolesi; Emily and Hannah Soares.  Son of the late Bert and Angela Mandolesi.  Brother of John (Marie) and Jerry (Rachelle).  Co-founder of the G. Verdi Social Program for Handicapped Adults;  Member of Full Gospel Business Men;  Associated with many organizations supporting disabled persons including the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 7 – 9 pm and then on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 2 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3 pm.  Reverend Canon Earl Burke officiating.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Our sincere thanks and to Drs. Keating, Fratesi, and all those who have provided excellent care for all of his many physical challenges; to the doctors and nurses in emergency, I.C.U., and on the floors.  A special thank you to his Red Cross personal support workers who cheered him up each day and provided him with exceptional care.  To our neighbours, friends, co-workers, volunteers and all those who welcomed him into their hearts and lives – thank you!  Donations in Richards honour can be made to the G.
