In his 75th year, peacefully at home on the 18th of April 2009. Dear son of the late Alex and Anni Makkonen of Finland. Beloved husband of Leila for 50 years. Father of Kari Makkonen (Lucy). Grandfather of Christina, Morin (Adam), Sarah Edgar (Jeremy) of Sault Ste. Marie, Dastin and Nicolaus Makkonen of Vancouver and great grandfather of Lexxus Morin of Sault Ste. Marie. Brother in law of Maila Jantunen and Riitta Lehtimaki (Richard). Also missed by Jaana Jantunen, Shane MacGuigan, Charlene, Mike and Sandra DeLuca, and relatives and friends in Finland
and Canada. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Rev.
