Friday, February 24, 2012, at age 83, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved partner of the late Isabel MacKenzie. Predeceased by parents, Frank and Evelyn Major, brothers Gerald, Frank Jr., sister Daisy Campbell. Survived by sister Harriet Yanchuk and brother Ross Major. Deeply adored and sadly missed by each member of both the MacKenzie and Major families including all his nieces and nephews who were so important to him.
A private funeral service with family will be held March 1st. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Micamonico, Dr. Bignell, and the Complex Care unit staff at the Sault Area Hospital for their excellent care and compassion . Special thanks as well to Tom’s niece and dedicated caregiver, Edie Bernard-LeBlanc.
