It is with great sadness, Jim’s family wishes to announce his passing, after a brave battle, at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday evening, March 18, 2011. Born April 21, 1935 in Manitowaning to Amy and Owen Maguire. Beloved husband of Donna, father of Linda (Chris), Lori (Graham) and Leanne (Matthew). Cherished brother of Colleen (Kenneth), John (May), Beverly (Anne) and predeceased by Bernard (Karen). Loving grandfather to Terry, Kristin, Mike, Ashley, Jeff, Noah and Owen and great grandfather of 4 beautiful girls, and special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Proud owner of his pets Denver and Bandit. Jim was a hard working business man who treasured his friends, family and devoted customers. He cherished many a fishing trip with Donna and loved to tease his friends at Uncle Steve’s about the fish they caught. Jim enjoyed his life on the Manitoulin to the fullest. He taught us all the importance of friends, family, hard work and respect for others. A service will be held at the Island Funeral Home in Little Current on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 2 pm to honour Jim.
