Passed peacefully at Extendicare Maple View on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of the late Elmar. Beloved mother of Peter (Linda), Andrew (Debbie) and Michael. Grandmother of Jonathan, Kaila (Chris), Krista and Kiel. Aunt of Lennard Peet. Predeceased by parents Alexsander and Elise (nee Jalak), brothers August Peet (late Tuulikki), Arno Peet (late Stella) and Amanda Kallas (late Sulev). Maimo was known for her creative abilities with a needle and thread having spent the majority of her long life as a seamstress. Born in Estonia, Maimo was also an active and proud participant in numerous local cultural activities related to her Estonian heritage. The family would like to thank all the staff at Maple View, especially Tunnel Lake, for the excellent care and compassion given to our mother. Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 11 am until the funeral service at 1 pm.
