(1973 - 2020) - It is with great sadness and broken hearts we regretfully announce the passing of Dawna peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, with family by her side.
Adored daughter of Robert (Alex R) and Sharon MacMillan. Devoted sister to Tricia (Loggy) and Roberta (Tom). Others left to mourn this great loss are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was a much loved, very special aunt and surrogate mother to Tyler, Dustin (Lakota), Thomas, Connor, Owen, Brenden, Logan, Rhys, Damien & Sienna.
Dawna cherished every moment she had with these children and ensured that she created memories with them that they will treasure for a lifetime. Dawna's illness was sudden and unexpected, so many will suffer the loss of someone so precious and irreplaceable. She took pride in giving to others and never expected or wanted anything in return. Dawna will be forever remembered for her selfless generosity.
At the request of family and in keeping with Dawna's wishes there will be no visitation or service. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522). To honor her giving spirit, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to the Heart & Stroke or Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
