MACKAY, Lyle Lawrence

With sadness we announce the passing of Lyle at the age of 82 years, while at home with his loving family at his side on Wednesday, February 21, 2007. Beloved husband and best friend of Jean (Grisdale) of 60 years of marriage. Loved father and buddy to sons Wayne (Judy), Norman (Chrissy), Larry (Ferne), daughter and caregiver Janice Reid. Special and proud papa of Terri Rouleau (Paul), Dwayne, Darren, Kevin, Curtis, Ryan and Angie MacKay, Michael (Shelly), Gordon (Jennifer) and Dan Nystedt, Jeremy Reid (Sherri), Robin and Rhonda Reid (Kallie). Great papa of Jayden and Kyle Reid, Avery Rouleau, Mackenzie, Brett and Braydon Nystedt. Lyle is survived by his sisters Katie Walker of Huntsville, Nelda Oaks (Grant) of Providence Bay and June Strassburger of Kitchener, brothers Doug of Sault Ste. Marie and Norman MacKay (Jean) of Kitchener. Brother-in-law of Pat Goodmurphy (Cecil) of Thessalon and Shirley Nolin. He will be remembered and greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Dad will be missed by his longtime hunting and fishing buddies. Friends and family are invited to attend a gathering in 'Celebration of Lyle's Life' at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Memorial donations made to Ronald McDonald House or Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
