Our kind, generous, honest, and most cherished Mother, Marilyn Jean MacIntyre graduated to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the age of 90 years young. Marilyn was married to the late Norman William MacIntyre for several years as they raised their 5 children together while also creating flower garden arrangements, baking and cooking for neighbours, and kitchen dance and song moments; and our precious Mother had a dear friendship with the late Walter McKay as well. We give Praise and Glory to GOD for this highly favoured woman of GOD that raised us and encouraged us to attend Sunday School (as her mother and grandmother before her did). Thus, we desire to honour her legacy, character, and integrity as we remember her life together!

Marilyn was and will always remain a woman of great persevering faith - a very encouraging and loving mother to her 5 children: Wendy (late Glen), Jan (late Steve), Heather (late Timothy), Patti-Lynn (Al) and Norman Jr. (Annie). Grandchildren: Brandi-Lynn, Blake (Megan), McKenzie (Amy), Madison, Meghan (Justin), Lee-Charles (Natalie), Cody-Russell, Emma, Stefanie, Racheal, Calvin, Evan, Sarah, Emily. Great Grandchildren: Grace, Gwen, Paisley, Paiton, Miliya “Millie”, Wren, Maia, Erron, and Lucio Timothy.

Special aunt to many and a dear friend of and sister to the women of GOD at Christ Church as well as her numerous friends throughout the city of Sault Ste Marie and beyond. Loving sister in law to both Henderson and MacIntyre families.

Heartfelt thanks to a special nephew and niece for their visits and for bringing Miss. Bailey as a special ray of sunshine in Mom’s days. We would also like to give thanks to the Finnish Rest Home Mauno Kaihla Koti for their care and compassion given to Mom.

We believe our Mother, Marilyn, is rejoicing with parents, her siblings and all the saints who knew and loved the Lord Jesus and is delighting in the Presence and Paradise of Christ Jesus.

Please know, we are grateful for every act of kindness you have blessed us with. Thank you!

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Christ Church (585 Allens Sideroad, SSM) from 10:30 am – 11:30 am on Saturday, May 20, 2023, with funeral service to follow at 11:30 am with Reverend Raymond Knight officiating. Interment will take place at West Korah Cemetery. A reception will follow at Christ Church from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s memory are most welcomed and encouraged for The Ontario Finnish Rest Home Association and Christ Church Sault Ste. Marie (Payable online or by cheque).
