It is with great sadness that the family of Madeline MacDonald announce her passing in the arms of her loving husband at the FJ Davey Home on Friday, January 21st, 2022 in her 89th year. 

Madeline was the cherished wife and deeply loved partner of James "Jim" MacDonald for 70 wonderful years. Madeline’s family was most important to her and her legacy will continue on with her children,  grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Beloved mother of Steve (Lucie Gingras), Cathie (Robin McDonald), Donald (Claudette), Jon, Susan Shaw (Jim) and Christina Mah (Bob). Holding dear memories are Madeline’s 16 grandchildren Kelly, Jennifer, Becky, D.J., Luke, Alison, Craig, Elliott, Daniel, Evan, Meghan, Emily, Brian, Erin, Thomas and Jonathon. Proud Gram of 19 great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Ewan and late Theresa Buchan (nee Gallagher). Loving sister of the late Margaret Sommer (late Donald Anderson) and (late Richard), late Bud (Patsy), late Robert, late Mel (late Carol), John (Laura) and Mary-Lou Bergeron (late Glen). Sister in law of Jean Kozak (late Steve) and the late Jack. Sister in law and best friend of Kathleen Dool. Madeline will be missed and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 


A service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522).  Please call 705-759-2522  between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm. to make an appointment.  Please note that All Covid-19 restrictions apply, masks and social distancing are required. Friends are invited to view the service online on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1:00 pm.  The service can be viewed anytime up to 90 days.  Go to www.funeraweb.tv and select Madeline's name to view the service. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society or Precious Blood Cathedral would be greatly appreciated.
