Kathy MacDonald passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15th, surrounded by family at the Sault Area Hospital.  Beloved wife of Paul MacDonald and loving mother of Meaghan MacDonald. Kathy bravely fought MS for 25 years. Born in New Waterford, Cape Breton, NS, Kathy is the Daughter of Neil and Charlotte MacKenzie of New Waterford and sister of Laurie (Jacques) Boucher of Antigonish. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kathy was a proud Cape Bretoner known for her sharp wit and keen sense of humor and favorite saying “how’s she goin’ bye”, Kathy’s heart always belonged to Cape Breton. There will be no visitation in Sault Ste Marie; cremation has taken place.  There will be visitation and funeral services at MacLellan Brothers Funeral Home in New Waterford, NS at a later date. A special thank you to all her family, friends, nurses, caregivers, and support workers who helped over the years. Donations can be made to the MS Society.
