MacDonald, Jean Rowena

(August 15, 1929 – January 12, 2009): Formerly of Wawa. Jean was a former employee of Algoma Ore Division and worked in Pink Mountain B.C. making her retirement home in Little Rapids.
Jean passed away at the Thessalon hospital after a brief illness. Daughter of the late Calvin and Ethel (Reid) MacDonald. Pre-deceased by her brother Robert (Bob) of Wawa. Jean is survived by two daughters: Debbie (Cherney) husband Fred Besant of East St. Paul, Manitoba and Lynn (Cherney) husband Norm Mosher of Ormand Beach Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sarah Shannon of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Sabrina (Craig) Libbey of Cochrane, Alberta. She was looking forward to the birth of her first great grand child. She is also survived by great friends and cousins Farrel (Linda) MacDonald and family and Mary Anne (late Rod) and family of Thessalon. At Jean’s request, family and friends are asked to join us for a Celebration of her Life at the home of Mary Anne MacDonald, Lake Street, Thessalon on Thursday, January 15th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Thessalon Township Heritage Association or Thessalon Hospital Auxiliary. Special thanks to the staff of the Thessalon Hospital for their excellent care.
