At the Sault Area Hospital on August 12, 2009 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of 63 years to Jackie. Cherished father of Pauline Hilson (Andy) and Bernice Mick (Allan). Loving grandfather (Papa) to Doug McGonegal, Tara Champagne (Ron), Ryan McGonegal (Melanie), Sheldon Champagne (Miranda), Shauna Pitts and Chris Roussel. Great grandfather of eight. Predeceased by his brothers and sister, Lawrence (Molly), Allen (Lea), Lloyd (Mary) and Gladys (Ray). Long time and close friends of Valentino Volpe (late Bineta). Will forever be remembered by his brother and sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. “One’s life was never the same after meeting him, he always had a lending hand and a wealth of knowledge”.
