MACARTHUR, Katharine Shirley

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the FJ Davey Home on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 after a long battle fought with dignity, sheer willpower and unstoppable determination at the age of 89. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Fred Macarthur. Loving mother of Kathy Young of Sudbury, Susan Woods of Toronto, Karl Macarthur (Kathy) of Lakefield, Marion Bentley (Bill), Barb Pavelich and Mary Jane Horbatuk (James) of Sault Ste. Marie. Grammie of Dave (Belinda), Andrew (Sherry) & Scott (Salina) Young, Katharine & Sam Woods, Ken & Kori Macarthur, Ryan & Stewart Bentley, Katie & Graham Pavelich and Matthew, Meaghan & Jeffrey Horbatuk. Great Grammie of Helen Young and Macarthur & Cameron Young. Mom was an avid baker, bridge player and golfer. She inspired her children to be strong, capable individuals all within a loving close-knit family. We are truly blessed. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 1 pm until time of memorial service in the chapel at 3 pm. Mrs. Janet Norman officiating.
