Mac HATTIE, "Pat" Agnes Catherine (nee Collver)

November 13, 2008 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Graham for over 60 years and
loving mother of Robb (Lorraine) of Trail, B.C., Keith of Salt Spring Island, B.C.,
Christine of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. and John (Kashalya) of Victoria, B.C. Daughter
of the late Roy and Catherine Collver of Simcoe, Ont. Sister of Ruth (late Bill)
Marshall of Cleveland, Ohio, and late Keith of Simcoe, Ont. Sister-in-law of Betty
(late Lloyd) MacHattie of Toronto, Ont., Leslie and Vicki MacHattie of Ottawa, Ont.,
Harvey (died in WW2), Lorne and Judy MacHattie of New Bedford, Mass. Proud
grandmother of seven grandchildren, Fields, Timothy, Emily, Elisa of Vancouver B.C.,
Mario of Toronto, Ont., Libby of Victoria, B.C. and Charlotte of Trail, B.C. Aunt
of many nieces and nephews. Pat took her training as a nurse at Brantford General
Hospital, graduating in 1942. She received her diploma in Public Health from the
University of Toronto in 1945 and was employed by the Victorian Order of Nurses and
the City of Toronto before joining Trans Canada Airline as a stewardess. Pat loved
the out-of doors and everything that lives and grows. She served on the executive
of the Sault Naturalists Club and was an ardent bird watcher. She was a long-time
member of the Ski Patrol and was a ski instructor. She was a volunteer leader at
YMCA and RYTAC and served on the board. We ask you to join in a celebration of
Pat's life at a Memorial Service at St. Andrew's United Church on Friday, November
28, 2008 at 1:30 pm. There will be an opportunity for friends to talk to the
family following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St.
Andrew's Christian Education Fund and to Clean North. Arrangements entrusted to
the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (759-2522).
