LOPES (nee Gonçalves), Idalina

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the age of 86. Idalina was born July 12, 1925, in Paradela, Portugal, the daughter of the late Joăo and Maria do Carmo Cordeiro Gonçalves. Beloved wife of 62 years and soulmate of José. Loving mother of Maria Esposito (Ralph), Frank Lopes (Rita), and Tony Lopes (Laura). Cherished grandmother (vóvó) of Candice, Aaron, Craig, Jessica, Brendan, Jordyn and Adrian. Sister of the late Celeste Bernardo, Acácio Gonçalves, Albertina Pascoal (Armando), Jerónimo Gonçalves (Conceiçăo), and Irene Gonçalves. Sister-in-law of the late Maria Pascoal (Vancislau), late Lucinda Cruz (António), late Etelvina Santos (Henrique) and Fernando (Lourdes). Idalina will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends in Portugal and Brazil.
