It is with sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of Elvira Lorello Longo on Monday, October 26, 2009 in Calabria Italy at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband Guerino. Cherished and most beloved mother of Maria Pucci (late Tony) and Michele Longo (Maria) of Sault Ste. Marie, Mario Longo (Dina) of Ottawa, Francesco Longo (Onda) and Caterina Garritano (Franco) of Italy. Nonna Elvira holds a special place in the hearts of her 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A memorial mass for Elvira will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Father Eric Pannike officiating. We are so thankful for her beautiful smile, her humor, and a lifetime of memories that we will forever cherish. Cara Mamma e Nonna, grazie per il tuo bene. Rimanerai sempre nei nostri cuori e pensieri. Riposa in pace.
