Died peacefully surrounded by the love and prayers of his family on Thursday, April 8, 2010 in his 76th year. Much loved by his wife and best friend Claudette for over 50 years. Devoted father and fier papa of James (Dan Hunt), Kathleen Weir (Robert), Edward (Donna Laframboise) and Matthew. Adored grandfather of Adrianna, Olivia and Andrew Weir and newly born Parker “PJ” Loney. Dear brother of Shirley Loney Dobson (late Rupert) and predeceased by Rev. Norman, Joan Loney Bitz (late Harold), Agnes and Collin. Brother-in-law of Cecile Abbati (late George). Uncle of Mary Jane, Norman, Agnes, Katrina, Timothy, Suzanne and Mark and Thomas. A man of deep faith and a model of prudence, Pat will be fondly remembered for his devoted spirit. Intensely private, he loved sharing his encyclopedic knowledge and rich life experience. He was a jack-of-all trades, steward of the environment, counselor, feline lover, bird-watcher, ringette and hockey grandpa, train and ship enthusiast. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Precious Blood Cathedral on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 10 am. Rev. Hamish Currie officiating. Memorial contributions to the SAH Cancer Care Fund or the Sault Ste.
