Went peacefully in her 93rd year at the Ontario Finnish Rest Home on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Now reunited with her husband, Adrien, to enjoy their long walks together once again. Daughter of the late Thomas and Marie Kearney. Beloved wife of the late Adrien Litalien. Cherished mother of Diane Couturier (Leandre Gallant), Andre (Anita) and Guy (Colette). Dear grandmother of Denis Couturier (Laura), Mark Couturier (late Judy), Luke Couturier (Heather), Tricia Gillson (Jeff) and Jen Romiti. Great grandmother of 8 and great-great grandmother of 6. Dearest sister of Edwidge Bernard (late Paul) from Montreal. Predeceased by Gemma Clement (Jules), Alexandre Kearney (Blanche), Therese Savoie (Guilmond), Patrick Kearney (Seraphine), Wilbrod Kearney, Esther Landry (Philippe), Georgine Landry (Bernard), Rose Bouchard and Eleonore Kearney. Dearest sister-in-law of Eugene Leblanc (Jacques), Gilberte Perreault, Rene Litalien (Lorraine), Roland Litalien (Pierrette), Lucienne Laroque (Patrick), Rolande Leblanc (Ernest), Gerard Litalien (Alexandrine) and Lorraine Boudreau (Maurice). Predeceased by Jean-Marie Litalien (Adeline), Laurent Litalien (Adeline), Yvon Litalien, Emilien Litalien (Douce), Yvette Bernard (Pierre) and Alonzo (Yvonne). Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Opal enjoyed her years of working at Eaton’s, Walkers, Gorman’s, Career Miss and the Casual Shop. She loved her volunteer work at the Senior Citizens’ Centre. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Friday, January 21, 2011 from 9:00 am until time of the service in the chapel at 11:00 am. Msgr. Victor Amadio officiating.
