Suddenly, at his home in Ottawa, on Sunday, January 24th 2010 at the age of 49. Cherished husband and best friend of Sarah Lanoue-Liepa. Devoted step-father of Rachel, Madeline and Braeden Stiles. Loving son of Eva and the late Leo Liepa. Son-in-law of Erin McGowan. Dearly loved brother of Peter Liepa ( Kim). Much loved brother-in-law of Kelly and Stephen Wilkinson, Heather and Murray Richardson and Kathleen Semanyk. Proud uncle to his nephews and nieces, Adam and Matthew Liepa, Mark, Bethany and Samantha Mausz, Jordan Richardson, Owen Semanyk and Rebecca (Nick Wilson). John will be deeply missed by his many dear friends, his extended family in the Glebe and many colleagues. John touched the lives of all who knew him with his generosity, compassion for others and unfailing sense of humour. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 315 McLeod Street on Saturday, January 30 from 4 – 7pm and Sunday from 2 – 4pm & 7 – 9pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 194 Fourth Avenue on Monday February 1st at 11:00am.
