Our dear father passed away peacefully at the Cedarwood Lodge on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at age 90. The son of the late Gordon and Kay (Spence) Lewis, and brother to the late Gordie (late Joanne) and Diane LaRue (late Leo LaRue). A proud Saulite all of his life, he was married to the love of his life Betty (DiPietro) from 1956 until her passing in 2016 and was the beloved father of Chris (Angie), Mark, Robbie and the late David. He was a loving grampy to Melissa (Pierre Boucher), Stephanie (Tim Shaw), Lauren (Kurtis Perreault), Sarah (Mike Mageran), and Mathew; as well as step-grandpa to Kylie Turpin, Maddie Wallace and Rikki Duguay. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Asha and Jade Perri, Theron and Odin Perreault and Russell Mageran; uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews and a friend to many. He loved and lived life to the fullest, as a true people-person extraordinaire. He enjoyed many years with the Lewis, DiPietro, Wallace, LaRue and Gilbert families at Pointe Aux Pins and elsewhere, and truly loved boating and golf all of his life.
There will not be a formal funeral or visitation, but a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the staff of Cedarwood Lodge for their care over the past several years. Donations to Special Olympics Ontario in his name will be graciously accepted.
